Wednesday, 28 July 2010 |
Since the launch of SJC Class of ‘95 Fundraiser Reunion last July, geared towards the rehabilitation and development of their Alma Mater, the group has thus far raised over $2,000.00. In October 2009 the Class of ’95 donated $500 to aid preparations for the SJC Garden Party. This contribution was sourced from fundraisers that were held last July and August. This year, the group continued its fundraising efforts by hosting a Bake Sale on May 29th at the Esplanade Mall with delectable confectionaries ranging from cakes to home-made buns. This event raked in over $1,000, an improvement from the previous year. In June, the group’s treasurer, Marcian Lewis handed over $200 to the Principal of the SJC, Sr. Maureen Alexander, at the school’s parlour. Sr. Maureen expressed her gratitude for the contribution, which was used for the purchase of 4 trophies for the SJC 2010 Graduation. |
