Tuesday, March 10 –Port of Spain, Trinidad: Brenden Nash’s maiden Test century on day four of the 5th Digicel Test against England was the culmination of a long road of travel and tough grind for the Australian-born West Indies left-hander. “It’s been many years of hard work,” the 31-year-old Nash said after play. “To finally get the opportunity to be there on 98 and 99 was very nervous but I finally got there in the end so I was pretty happy with that obviously.” Nash was brought up in Australia and spent the early part of his first-class career with Queensland (from 2000-2006) before he made the difficult decision to head to Jamaica, the island of his parents Paul and Andrea to further his cricket opportunities in the summer of 2007. |

Chairman of the Grenada Board of Tourism Mr. Richard Strachan is leading a 10-member Grenada delegation to the annual International Trade Bolsa, (ITB) which will be held in Berlin, Germany from March 11 – 15, 2009. Regarded as one of the biggest trade and consumer shows in the world, participation enables tourism destinations like Grenada and other tourism and hospitality entities to build awareness, network, and showcase their products and services to thousands of visitors from around the world. As participants, the Grenada delegation will seek to maximize its public relations mileage, and gather general intelligence about the important German market. |

FAO renews its commitment to regional agriculture partnership |

Delegates from 16 Caribbean nations attended 5 days of training and planning for the regional agriculture sector. Barbados – 10 March 2009 – A recent regional workshop convened by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) has successfully equipped delegates to effectively plan for the medium term development of Caribbean agriculture. This is the opinion of Dr. Barbara Graham, FAO’s Sub-regional Representative for the Caribbean, on completion of the organization’s Fourth Annual National Medium Term Priority Framework meeting, held from 2-6 March at United Nations House in Barbados. |
