Thursday, 04 February 2010 |
Wednesday February 03rd 2010, St. George’s: Tourism Minister Hon. Glynis Roberts has given assurance that the Grenada Airlift Committee is fervently working to fill the void created by Air Jamaica’s decision to terminate some routes, including the direct New York-to-Grenada schedule. Other destinations that will be affected by the Air Jamaica decision, which takes effect from March 9, are Curacao, Nassau and Havana. Minister Roberts says while the Airlift Committee is working to have other service providers fill the Air Jamaica void, there are still existing options for passengers travelling to Grenada. “We have American Airlines out of Miami, American Eagle operating out of Puerto Rico, and we also have the option of using Caribbean Airways via Barbados or Trinidad,’’ she said.
