SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico (April 6, 2009) -  CHTA Education Foundation Selectors recently met in Antigua for the annual review of applications for scholarships from hospitality & tourism professionals and students of tourism. Over 90 applications from 18 Caribbean nations were received by the March 16 closing date.
 
The Selection Committee were graciously hosted by Sandals Grande Resort & Spa, Antigua. General Manager, Jean-Marc Rousseau commented 'it is a pleasure to support the CHTA Education Foundation as its volunteer trustees meet to assess the 2009 applications". Most of the selectors are general managers within the region and they commented on how 'gorgeous the accommodations and resort is and how well maintained the lush grounds are'. Hats Off to Sandals Grande Antigua for providing a well-appointed boardroom for the selectors to spend long days in and easy dining options in the evenings.
 
The CHTA Education Foundation is now preparing letters for every applicant that will be emailed to them after April 15, 2009.
