IAN ADAMS ACCEPTS AWARD FROM DR. MICHEAL THOMPSON
Ian Adams (right) of St. George’s, Grenada, has been named an Accounting Department Outstanding Accounting Graduate at East Central University in Ada, Okla. He also received the Dr. Barbara McKinzie CPA Endowment Scholarship to begin work on a master of science in accounting degree at ECU. He is shown with Dr. Micheal Thompson, dean of ECU’s School of Business, at the Business Awards Banquet. In addition, Adams, a center on ECU’s basketball team, was named to the Lone Star Conference All-Academic Basketball Team for three straight years. He holds the school record for blocked shots in a game with 10, against Texas A&M-International in 2005-06. That same season, he was also voted LSC North Division Freshman of the Year as he came within two blocks of tying a school record for a season. He is the son of Irma and Eric Adams.
