Fine Dining Event

Recognising the fact that it takes team work to succeed at most endeavours, the Executive Chefs of member properties of the Grenada Hotel & Tourism Association, Le Phare Bleu, Grenadian by rex resorts, Spice Island Beach Resort, La Source, Calabash Hotel & Villas, Flamboyant Hotel & Villas, and True Blue Bay Resort & Villas, will come together on Monday, 15th February, to display their considerable skills at a culinary event to remember.
An evening of fine dining will be hosted at the Pool Side Restaurant, of the Grenadian by rex resorts, by the GHTA, to raise funds for the people of Haiti.  Grenadians, and visitors, attending the event, can look forward to enjoying food from the island’s masters of the culinary arts.

This remarkable evening of food, wine, and music, at which one hundred guest will be catered for, at a cost of EC $200.00 per person, will also feature an auction of prizes donated by GHTA members, and is expected to raise well in excess of EC $20,000, all of which will be forwarded to an international agency assisting in aiding the people of Haiti.

The evening will begin with cocktails, followed by a first course of Farine Cake, and Tomato and Sweet Corn Salsa, a second course of Shrimp and Callaloo Tart, and a third course of  Clear Chicken Broth flavoured with Garlic, Ginger, and Lemon Grass, and served with Green Papaya, and Green Onion.  The fourth course of Ravioli of Lobster with Marlin, Herb, and Shellfish Bisque, will be followed by a Melon Sorbet, and the fifth course will be Tandoori Marinated Chicken served on a Bed of Masala, Plantain Mash, with Minted Homemade Yoghurt Raita, while the sixth course will be Spiced, Roasted Beef with Potato Fondant and Butternut Squash.  Finally to round off the meal, a Trio of Chocolate will be served for dessert.
