Wednesday, May 23, 2007, St. George’s: It has been brought to the attention of the Ministry of Finance that information on and interpretation of the VAT Taxation System are being circulated by private entities.
 
The Ministry of Finance would like to advise the general public that the opinions expressed by these entities DO NOT reflect or represent the views of the Ministry nor are they necessarily consistent with the policy, procedures and strategy for the implementation of VAT in Grenada.

 
The Ministry of Finance remains the only institution responsible for the dissemination of all information related to the implementation of VAT in Grenada.
 
The Ministry has NOT retained the services of any private entity on the matter and any information coming from sources outside of the Ministry of Finance should be treated as unauthorized and invalid.
 
The Ministry of Finance requests that any one having information of material on VAT being made available to the public by any entity other than the Ministry, should bring it to the attention of the Ministry of Finance immediately.
