Friday 22nd June 2007, St George’s:  Minister of Communication, Works and Transport Hon. Brenda Hood, met with members of the different bus associations on Friday 22nd 2007. The discussions centered on the issues of increased cost in operation and maintenance of the bus transport service.

 
The issues of increased numbers of buses plying the same routes resulting in saturation of the routes and the increase in bus fares were also discussed.
 
Due to the growing cost of fuel the Minister has promised to look into the possibility of concession and rebates to assist the bus owners with vehicular parts and fuel.
 
A follow up meeting is scheduled to be held within the following weeks.
