Friday  August 24, 2007 St Georges : The Ministry of Social Development will be holding a two day Strategic Planning session on the National Parenting Programme.
 
The first day of the workshop will be held on Monday August 27, 2007 from 9 am at the Red Cross Conference Room, while the second session takes place on August 28, 2007 at the Agency for Rural Development Conference Room.
 
The objectives for the workshop are to:
 
·        Clarify the vision and mission for the Parenting Programme
·        Identify goals, objectives and proposed activities and responsibilities
·        Identify the factors which contribute to or hinder effective implementation of the Programme
·        Clarify roles and commitments for the implementation of the program
 
The facilitator for the workshop is Ms. Norma Shorey Bryan a regional consultant in Human Resource Development.
 
Representatives from the Ministries of Education and Youth, NGO’S, Police and Parents will be among the key stake holders participating.
 
The work shop will be open to any group or organizations with an interest in parenting.
