VROOM VROOM is how it started and Vroom Vroom is how it finished in grand style at the Digicel sponsored Drag Wars in Pearl’s on Sunday evening.

DIGICEL’s text to win a Suzuki grand vitara had all the hallmarks of a Digicel promotion with hype and excitement and a compelling grand finale.  10 finalists were chosen randomly and 9 of them were present at the racetrack to pick a number to open a briefcase which concealed a car key.  Each finalist was given an opportunity to unlock the car door until Number 6, Rodney Bartholomew of Dusty Highway, Grand Anse had the lucky Suzuki key to open the fully loaded red Grand Vitara.  

Thousands of patrons had turned out to watch the Drag racing and were privy to the entertaining Digicel live draw. They watched as the winner drove his brand new vehicle down the race track to the cheers of the crowd.  Rodney who texted a mere three times said he did not have enough credit to send as much as he wanted to but he knew he had a chance. Rodney in his jubilation said he “was looking for something like that to happen to him and he feels “extra” good with Digicel. Since Digicel came in, promotion in Grenada changed - Digicel is known for that.  I like what they are doing”.  Marketing Manager for Digicel Raelene Lazarus offered congratulations to Rodney and his family for his good fortune and said he proves the old adage if you are not in you cannot win a Digicel promotion.
