Sherborne School’s Swing Band, a big band consisting of sixteen boys, will be resident at the Grenadian by Rex Resort in Grenada for one week from Monday, 30th June until Saturday, 5th July.  The Band has an enviable reputation in the UK, and undertakes much Concert and Dinner Dance work during the year.  Members of the Band participate in Jazz Workshops around the UK and in Europe, and a close association with Ronnie Scott’s internationally famous Jazz Trio is established for 2009.  With boys ranging from 13 years old to 18 years of age, the standard of jazz music making is high and all boys have Merits and Distinctions in the UK music grading system.
