REPUBLIC BANK’S MANAGING DIRECTOR, KEITH JOHNSON WITH CARRIACOU REGATTA COMMITTEE PRESIDENT, DUANE WILLIAMS

St. George’s - July 31, 2011. Republic Bank boasts of its unwavering support to the Carriacou Regatta Festival for the 29th consecutive year. At the opening ceremony of the 46th annual Regatta Festival, Republic Bank’s Managing Director Keith Johnson, pledged the Bank’s continued support to the festival, unique to the sister isle, Carriacou by presenting its sponsorship cheque worth $15,000.00 to Duane Williams, President of the Carriacou Regatta Committee.

Mr. Johnson, in his remarks, said:  “Festivals such as the Carriacou Regatta, provide a unique opportunity to highlight our islands’ cultural heritage which truly represents our indigenous way of life.  Over the years we have witnessed the growth of the festival, attracting scores of spectators and sailing enthusiasts and we cannot overlook the much needed economic benefits to be derived from this festival with the increase in activity and visitor arrivals.”
