ST. GEORGE’S – THURSDAY, 10TH NOVEMBER, 2011 - Randy DuVal, a resident of Paraclete, St. Andrew’s played the National Lotteries Authority’s Super 6 game on Friday, September 2nd 2011, and won a massive $235,000 jackpot prize.
Mr. DuVal is an avid supporter of the games of the National Lotteries Authority; the Windward Island game, Super 6, being just one of them. Mr. Duval, speaking at a prize handing-over ceremony at the NLA’s Main Office on the Carenage, says that he finds enjoyment in playing the games of the NLA because even when he does not win, he still feels that he is making a valuable contribution towards the development of sports and culture, and the development of Grenada as a whole.
He further stated that although he played to win, he never actually expected to win the jackpot. It was based on a hunch that he decided to replay a ticket on which he had gotten three (3) numbers previously, with the hope that on that occasion, all the numbers would fall in the right place. The ticket was purchased at the NLA’s partner, Daddy Wayne’s Grocery in Paraclete on Friday, September 2nd, 2011.
When asked about his plans for the money, he said “I intend to make full use of the money. My first undertaking is to start my own business.”
The General Manager of the NLA Mr Ronnie Sylvester stated “We at the NLA are so elated to present the Super 6 jackpot winning cheque to Mr Duval a fellow Grenadian. We wish Mr Duval success in all his endeavours and as he stated even when he does not win, he still feels that he is making a valuable contribution towards the development of Sports and Culture, and the development of Grenada as a whole. As we at the NLA continue to make our contributions to Grenada, Carriacou and Petite Martinique, we depend solely on you the public to aid in the fulfillment of our mandate”. Thanks for your continued support!”
The NLA has a product portfolio of 6 games, namely: Bingo, Daily Pick 3, Lotto, Play Way, Scratch and Super 6. The online daily games are played twice per day, Monday to Friday with an additional draw at midday on Saturday. The draws for the Lotto game have increased to Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays while Super 6 continues on Tuesdays and Fridays.
