Warwickshire praise Grenada

In response Prime Minister Mitchell has said that this letter is a testament to the serious sport development work being done by Government and the sporting associations in Grenada. Prime Minister Mitchell noted that sport development and sport tourism were high on the agenda of Government and said that Grenada was among only a few places in the world attracting top quality English County teams. “We have had a successful World Cup and we will continue to build on the successes and improve in areas where we need improvement. Sport tourism is not just about facilities it is about marketing our country to the entire world and about developing our young talented sportsmen and women,” Prime Minister Mitchell stated.  We will shortly be announcing more details about how we intend to use our excellent facilities and how these facilities will continue to bring us more opportunities,” Prime Minister Mitchell remarked.

Warwickshire County Cricket Club toured Grenada for preseason training from 15th March until 26th March. Through a Government of Grenada initiative several county teams including, Yorkshire, Northamptonshire, and Sussex have used Grenada as a pre season training base.
